“My family loves books. We just can’t get enough. My favorite kinds of books are books that teach life lessons and social emotional strategies in the story. Why are social emotional strategies important to me? Research shows that only about 20% of job success is related to intellectual intelligence and approximately 80% of success is due to emotional intelligence. What is emotional intelligence? Emotional intelligence is defined as the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one’s emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and with empathy.
“So, I was excited when I saw the REAL MVP kids and had the opportunity to look through the books. The first night we had the books, my daughter REFUSED to eat her dinner as there was broccoli on her plate. That night I picked out “Celebrate! Meal Time” at bedtime with my kids. She mentioned that she would eat everything on her plate tomorrow. My kids wanted to read EVERY book in the box immediately! I gave them the opportunity to look through the titles and my son is looking forward to reading, “Lucas Tames the Anger Dragon.” I am looking forward to the learn and discuss guide in the back! The learn and discuss guide includes information geared at gaining a deeper understanding of the topic and then also provides questions to discuss with your child. My daughter is most excited to read “Celebrate! The Way I’m Made.”
